With children's play areas, green family zones, sports facilities, fountains, a zip line, a dog park, and the largest sandbox in Mexico City, the games are designed for all ages, with corners designed for every visitor to find something that makes them happy. In less than a year, the mayor of Gustavo A. Madero, Janecarlo Lozano, inaugurated the second major public park that promises to become an icon of the city: the EDEN Juventino Rosas, a space where fun, sports, and culture mix for the whole family. Located on the streets of Francisco Villa and Venustiano Carranza, in a 15,000-square-meter area that has historically been neglected by governments, this Space for Development and Hope for Children (EDEN) is much more than a park: it is an opportunity for social inclusion and development. With a free ice rink for 100 simultaneous skaters, skate rental included, and stands to supervise the little ones, a zip line, a pump track for professional training bikes, and accessible play areas for children with disabilities, EDEN is positioned as a must-visit destination for the whole family. "The EDEN Juventino Rosas has the most advanced infrastructure and sets a standard for how public parks should be from now on. In addition, this space has something unique that will represent the heart of Cuautepec and our government's vision: we are building an ice rink that will be open 365 days a year for free for everyone," added Mayor Janecarlo Lozano. Cuautepec will no longer be just a point on the map; it is now a destination for recreation and hope for thousands of Madero families. The inauguration was attended by the Secretary of Works and Services of Mexico City, Raúl Basulto, on behalf of Head of Government Clara Brugada, and was also accompanied by federal and Mexico City deputies. "We are building spaces so that the children of Cuautepec can be proud of having been born in Gustavo A. Madero, so that we never have to go to other municipalities to enjoy themselves because the best is already here," said Mayor Janecarlo Lozano. The park does not forget young people and adults: it has multipurpose rooms for yoga, karate, boxing, or chess, as well as soccer fields with artificial turf, basketball, and volleyball courts. The more than 300 new luminaires, walkways, a running track, and the comprehensive rehabilitation of green areas with native trees and plants complete this socially and environmentally impactful project. "We are building the right to happiness and demonstrating that it is also a public policy, that dignity is expressed through public space, that a neighborhood changes when it is lit up, when it is filled with life."
